Engraved, not printed

Laser engraving cuts into the surface of the acrylic, leaving a frosted mark that is part of the panel itself. That is why engraved (or etched) signs outlast vinyl and printed signs — there is no ink or film to lift, scratch off or discolour under UV. Edges are flame-polished by the cutting process, so they come out clear and smooth rather than sawn.
